In this hour-long workshop, we will be discussing:

Basic pelvic floor anatomy and normal function

Your core and some common misconceptions

Two main categories of pelvic floor dysfunction

Issues that can lead to pelvic floor dysfunction

What pelvic floor physical therapists can offer (hint: it’s much more than just Kegels!), and the importance of individualized treatment

There will also be a demonstration and practice portion for proper breathing patterns and pelvic floor muscle activation and relaxation.
Dr. Katelyn has practiced as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in orthopedics for over ten years and has increased her focus on pelvic health Physical Therapy over the past two years. As a mom of two boys and twin girls, she knows firsthand the importance of pelvic floor health and has had to navigate her own pelvic floor issues after childbirth. She is passionate about helping women feel confident, empowered, and in control of their body.
